Today was the Bundara, or Kishu odori festival at the Wakayama Castle. We decided to go around dusk to avoid the heat. There were many booths selling yakisoba, takoyaki, kakigori, and other foods. There were also many booths with games for the kids. Because we waited until a little later, all the kids wanted to do was eat, so we sat on the stairs to one of the buildings and ate our Takoyaki and Yakisoba. Even though the kids did not play any games, they enjoyed the atmosphere, and the cool outdoor breeze that was blowing. The food was good, and so was the dancing. Here is picture of Kyler and Kouna with Anpanman. It was about 8pm, so it is not the best picture, and the kids were a little frightened by the Anpanman costume, but they happily waved goodbye as we walked away. I should also mention that the picture was taken with my phone.
